WELCOME

Digital transformation brings unprecedented opportunities but also poses ethical challenges and considerations such as increased inequalities and concerns over misinformation, disinformation and malinformation. It is therefore imperative to empower citizens to think critically and to use digital technologies as a tool for individual and collective advancement.

Globally, innovation and artificial intelligence have modernized every industry. Small Island Developing States (SIDS) have unique vulnerabilities that impede resource allocation and effective implementation of digital strategies. When paired with exogenous shocks from the Russia-Ukraine war, climate change, the Covid-19 pandemic, and financial contractions; further resilience is needed. To accelerate Antigua and Barbuda’s position as a leader in the digital space, Prime Minister Browne has initiated a collaboration with the United Nations Development System (UNDS) to achieve digital transformation, which remains central to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the UN 2030 agenda.
