Message from Minister of ICTs
ICT Minister
Hon. Melford Nicholas

"The Government of Antigua and Barbuda is actively working to modernize its digital landscape, ensuring its citizens are equipped for the evolving digital age. By prioritizing digital readiness and resilience, the Government aims to strengthen technological literacy, making modernized public services more accessible. This initiative also enhances the ease of conducting business in the country, fostering economic growth and innovation.

One of the most significant investments in this digital transformation journey has been the allocation of over ECD$50 million towards undersea cables. These advancements in broadband and fiber optic connectivity will provide faster, more reliable internet access to all citizens and residents, laying the foundation for a more connected and technologically empowered Antiguan and Barbudan society. With these improvements, we are positioning ourselves as a leader in digital infrastructure within the region.

Through strengthened partnership with the UN Development System, the Ministry of ICTs reaffirms our intention to prepare the people of Antigua and Barbuda to benefit from the opportunities that the digital revolution will bring."
