The Project Implementation Management Unit (PIMU) of the Ministry of Works hereby advises that road rehabilitation and remedial works under the Antigua and Barbuda Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project (ARIRP) will commence in the upcoming months.
Works will be undertaken along Sir George Walter Highway (SGWH) and Friars Hill Road (FHR) which will include roadway rehabilitation and related improvements designed to enhance safety, resiliance, and overall infrastructure quality.
This initiative forms part of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda's continued commitment to improving national infrastructure and strengthening the road network for the benefit of residents, businesses and road users.
During the execution of works, temporary inconveniences such as noise, dust, traffic delays, or restricted access may occur. Every effort will be made to minimize desruption and maintain public safety.
In keeping with the project's Grievance Redress Mechanism, individuals wishing to submit concerns, questions, or complaints may contact The Project Implementation Management Unit at (268)562-9175/76 and speak with the Deputy Community Liaison Offices, Ms. Theolette Simon or Mr. Sherwin Harding. All submissions will be documented and addressed in accordance with the Project's established grievance procedures.
Additionally, Traffic advisories and project updates will be disseminated through local radio and television, including the Antigua Broadcasting Service (ABS), to keep the public informed of any traffic management arrangements.
