Ministry of Agriculture hosts University of Trinidad and Tobago Students

The Extension division within the Ministry of Agriculture of Antigua and Barbuda had the pleasure of hosting a team of 17 students and three professors from The University of Trinidad and Tobago - UTT O' Meara Campus from 27th Feb to 3rd March, 2016 for six days to observe agricultural practices on Island.

While in Antigua the students visited the agricultural stations, local farmers, the public market, the aqua ponics facilities, the Gilbert Agricultural Station (GARDC), and a few secondary schools.

In a short debriefing ceremony at the Ministry in the presence of the Hon. Arthur Nibbs, Permanent Secretary of Fisheries Division Ms Milinepte Ambrose, Senior Officials, and Extension Officers, the team commended the ministry for hosting them on island and lauded the trip as a very successful trip.

Minister Nibbs also took the opportunity to thank the team for choosing the twin island state for their visit, however he insisted that next time they travel to Antigua and Barbuda, they cannot leave without seeing beautiful Barbuda.

The group will travel back to Trinidad and Tobago today.
