The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre revealed ten (10) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Wednesday, 20th October, 2021 at 6pm.

One hundred and six (106) samples were processed at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.

Sixty-one (61) recovered cases were recorded increasing the total to three thousand three hundred and fifty-two (3,352).

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is three thousand nine hundred and ninety-four (3,994); which is inclusive of five hundred and forty-five (545) active cases. There are twenty-two (22) hospitalized cases; fourteen (14) mild, four (4) moderate and four (4) severe.

Meanwhile, Antigua and Barbuda has fully vaccinated forty eight thousand four hundred and eight (48,408) individuals while seven thousand three hundred and forty-seven (7,347) have only received their first dose.
