The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre revealed eighty-two (82) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Tuesday, 5th October, 2021 at 6pm.

One hundred and seventy-six (176) samples were processed at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.

Forty-eight (48) recovered cases were recorded increasing the total to two thousand four hundred and seventeen (2,417).

One (1) Covid-19 related death was recorded increasing the total to eighty-eight (88).

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is three thousand six hundred and sixty-three (3,663); which is inclusive of one thousand one hundred and fifty-eight (1,158) active cases. There are fifty-three (53) hospitalized cases; thirty-four (34) mild, twelve(12) moderate and seven (7) severe.

Meanwhile, Antigua and Barbuda has fully vaccinated forty three thousand eight hundred and seventy-three (43,873) individuals while ten thousand and eighty-five (10,085) have only received their first dose.
