The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Sir Lester Bird Mount St. John Medical Centre has revealed nine (9) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Wednesday, 4th August, 2021 at 6pm.

Two (2) of these cases were recorded on August 3rd and seven (7) on August 4th.

Six (6) of the new cases are non-imported, two (2) imported and one (1) is being investigated.

One hundred and forty-five (145) samples were processed at Sir Lester Bird MSJMC.

Five (5) recovered cases were recorded increasing the total to one thousand two hundred and forty-four (1,244).

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is one thousand three hundred and twenty (1,320) which is inclusive of thirty-three(33) active cases. There are five (5) mild hospitalized cases.

Meanwhile, thirty eight thousand four hundred and sixty-two (38,462) first doses of the Covid-19 vaccines have been administered of which thirty one thousand and fifty-six (31,056) received the second dose.

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.
