The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Sir Lester Bird Mount St. John Medical Centre has revealed seven (7) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Saturday, 17th July, 2021 at 6pm.

Two (2) of the cases were recorded on the 16th July and five (5) on 17th July, 2021.

Two hundred and fifteen (215) samples were processed at Sir Lester Bird MSJMC between the 16th and 17th July. No samples were processed on 18th July.

One (1) recovered case was recorded on 17th July, 2021 increasing the total to one thousand two hundred and twenty-five (1,225).

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is one thousand two hundred and seventy-five (1,275); which is inclusive of eight (8) active cases. There are two (2) hospitalized cases with one being considered moderate and the other mild.

Meanwhile, thirty seven thousand three hundred and sixteen (37,316) first doses of the Covid-19 vaccines have been administered of which twenty eight thousand eight hundred and eight (28,808) received the second dose.

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.
