The most recent reports received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Mount St. Johns Medical Centre (MSJMC) and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) have revealed one (1) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 case in Antigua and Barbuda as of Saturday, 8th May, 2021 at 6pm.

This new case was out of thirty-eight (38) samples processed by MSJMC and twenty-five (25) processed by CARPHA.

Eight (8) recovered cases were recorded increasing the total to one thousand one hundred and seventy-eight (1178).

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is one thousand two hundred and thirty-eight (1238), which is inclusive of twenty-eight (28) active cases. Of these active cases, four (4) are hospitalized with all being considered mild.

Meanwhile, the total number of persons vaccinated as of May 8th 2021 is thirty one thousand one hundred and forty-five (31,145).

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.
