The most recent reports received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Mount St. Johns Medical Centre (MSJMC) and the Santos Public Health Laboratory (SPHL) in Barbados has revealed three (3) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Thursday, 15th April, 2021 at 6pm.

These new cases were as a result of one hundred and four (104) samples processed by MSJMC and fifty-eight (58) processed by SPHL.

Thirty-seven (37) recovered cases have been recorded bringing the total to nine hundred and eighty-six (986).

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is one thousand two hundred and sixteen (1216), which is inclusive of one hundred and ninety-nine (199) active cases. Of these active cases, three (3) are hospitalized with two (2) being considered as moderate and one (1) mild.

Meanwhile, a total of two hundred and twenty-five (225) Covid-19 vaccines were administered since the last publication of the dashboard increasing the total number of individuals vaccinated to twenty eight thousand six hundred and thirty-nine (28,639).

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

*Please note that samples were processed by the SPHL in Barbados because the Regional Security System (RSS) was unable to transport the samples from Barbados to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) in Trinidad due to the closure of the Grantley Adams Airport in Barbados.

The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Mount St. Johns Medical Centre (MSJMC) has revealed no new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Friday, 16th April, 2021 at 6pm.

This was as a result of sixty-eight (68) samples processed by MSJMC.

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda remains at one thousand two hundred and sixteen (1216), which is inclusive of one hundred and ninety-nine (199) active cases. Of these active cases, four (4) are hospitalized with two (2) being considered as moderate and two (2) mild.

Meanwhile, a total of two hundred and forty-four (244) Covid-19 vaccines were administered since the last publication of the dashboard increasing the total number of individuals vaccinated to twenty eight thousand eight hundred and eighty-three (28,883).

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.
