ST. JOHN’S, ANTIGUA…NOVEMBER 4, 2020 – The Ministry of Information, Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Information Technology continues to be the driving force with the adoption of technology solutions for both business and government.

The latest project was a collaboration with the Passport Office and MIBTIT from June 6, 2019 to September 8, 2020 and according to Digitization Manager at MIBTIT Mrs. Michelle Warner-Morris the team did a phenomenal job in assisting the office to be a step further in having information digitized and readily available.

The exposure according to Mrs. Warner-Morris afforded Ms. Lauren Connor, Ms.Kia Edwards, Ms. Janine Lovell and Ms. Philicia Farrell the ability to pay great attention to detail, know the intricate processes of scanning required passport documents, updating the Civil Registry information at the Passport Office, and completing application forms in a fast pace environment.

“It has been a pleasure partnering with you and your team for the effective handling of the volume of work at the Passport Office due to the recall of Antigua and Barbuda passports.

The four ladies Connor, Edwards, Lovell and Farrell assigned to work at the Passport Office carried the assigned tasks of data entry in a very efficient manner. Their presence allowed us to concentrate our passport staff in other areas that were similarly affected.

The ladies were professional in completing their assigned duties and were also willing to work extended hours when it was necessary. They are truly a credit to your department”, the Passport Office Management Official concluded.
