ABMA - Important Update from the Department of Immigration (Extension of Stay)

22nd April, 2020

Dear Members and Visitors,

In light of the obligatory Health and Safety protocols recommended by the Ministry of Health and Wellness as well as the socioeconomic issues that have arisen from the State of Emergency guidelines put in place for COVID-19, new procedures have been formulated for an Extension of Stay Permit in Antigua and Barbuda. They encompass the safeguarding of immigration officers as well as our clientele whilst adhering to the statutory requirements for an Extension of Stay Permit.

As the outbreak is an evolving situation, some of the procedures are subject to change depending on the directives of the Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda. Be that as it may, the attached document reflects the position of the Department of Immigration (DOI) as of 20 April 2020 and will be regularly updated should the need arise. Attachment.

Key Points:

For the full details and fees list please read the attached document carefully. If you have any queries with regards to the procedures please contact the Department of Immigration directly. Telephone and email details are included in the document.

We would like to thank all of the Government Agencies for their continued support of the Yachting Industry given the current challenges of operations to provide procedures that will significantly improve the safety for our members and visitors while protecting the officers who have to perform their duties.

We would like to re-enforce that all movement outside of your home or boat must include wearing a mask and for you to adhere to strict social distancing requirements. We will continue to update the website as any further changes take place.
