The Ministry of Tourism, Economic Development, Investment and Energy through its partnership with the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Foundation extends a special invitation to primary and secondary school students to participate in the 2016 FCCA Foundation Children's Environmental Poster Competition.

This year's competition seeks to promote and stimulate environmental awareness among students and affectively educate younger generations on the importance of environmental protection.

The poster contest will be conducted in two age categories, the junior division (children ages 12 years and under who would not have passed their 13th birthday by June 1st 2016) and the senior division (children 13 to 16 years who would not have passed their 17th birthday by June 1st 2016).

Each student must submit one poster and select a topic of their choice that promotes environmental awareness. Each poster must depict at least there ways in which their destination can make a difference in preserving the environment and must be in English.

To be eligible each poster must accompany a summary description in English along with the title of each poster. Entries will be judged based on creativity, relevance to the theme, content, and quality of the presentation (layout and design).

Winners will be awarded monetary prizes ranging from USD 3,000 to US 1,000 in each age category.

All general inquiries regarding the competition should be addressed to Ms. Vashti Ramsey, Senior Sustainable Tourism Officer via email vashti.ramsey@ab.gov.ag or call direct at 468-4070.
