Antigua & Barbuda elected as president of PAHO's Executive Committee's Sub-Committee on Programme Budget and Administration

Minister of Health and the Environment, the Honourable Molwyn Joseph was yesterday elected as President of the Pan American Health Organization's (PAHO) Executive Committee's Subcommittee on Program Budget and Administration (SPBA).

As President, Minister Joseph will preside over the three day meeting which begun on March 30th 2016 at the PAHO Headquarters in Washington D.C.

Other members of the SPBA include Ministers of Health from Argentina, Ecuador, Grenada, Honduras, Mexico, and the United States of America.

Areas for discussion include PAHO's Program and Budget Policy, Staff Rules and Regulations.

Antigua and Barbuda's delegation will also participate in the selection of an Audit Committee Member of PAHO.

Membership in the SPBA allows Antigua and Barbuda to actively participate in the financial and administrative arms of PAHO which directly impacts the organization's ability to provide technical assistance to member states which includes all CARICOM countries.
