OECS Assembly 2016

The OECS Assembly will host its second meeting on July 21st 2016 in Antigua and Barbuda. The meeting will take place at the Parliament building from 8:30 am.

The agenda will be; Election of the Speaker of the OECS Assembly, Election of the Deputy Speaker, Announcement by the Speaker, Delegation from Member States, Adoption of the Order Paper, Adoption of the Last Assembly Hansard Reports, Statements (Rule 37) a. Chairman of the Authority, b. Members, Proposed Act - Water Resource Management Bill, Adjournment.

Representatives from all nine member states to include hosting country Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia and St Vincent and the Grenadines. Anguilla and the British Virgin Islands will all be present.

A committee has been formed and includes Ambassador Colin Murdoch, Members of the Police and Defense Forces, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Housing Representative, Clerk to Parliament, a representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Prime Minister's Office and other persons to plan and arrange for the Sitting in our Chamber of Parliament on July 21, 2016.

The inaugural OECS Assembly meeting was last held in Antigua and Barbuda on August 10, 2012.
